(More customer reviews)My 1-year-old daughter loves her ball popper toy, and when we received this as a gift, I thought this would be great. And she does enjoy it. It makes cute noises, and she loves to feed it the balls and watch them go around. She also likes to push the button on the giraffe's head to make him play sounds.
There are a few problems with it, though, causing me to rate it at 3 stars.
One is that the balls don't always go into the giraffe's mouth easily -- you have to get them just right, or they stick, and little baby hands don't always get them in there just right. This is frustrating for her.
Second, when she tries to pull up to standing on it, it tips. Not all the way over, and if she was pulling from her knees, it might not be a problem, but she's pulling from a seated position, and it keeps wanting to tip, which makes me nervous.
Thirdly, the balls don't always emerge fully from the tunnel, so they "disappear." At this age, she doesn't understand that sometimes she needs to fish the balls out, so I have to get them for her.
It's an entertaining toy, but I would prefer something that doesn't require so much adult intervention/supervision.
