At first he was just interested in putting the blocks in and out of the truck and driving it around, but now he enjoys building with the blocks, as well. It does have a "shape sorter" type deal within the truck, but there are certainly better toys for this purpose and this is not designed purpose for this truck. I think it's a great little set for kids before they reach the official Duplo age.
