He likes to dump the fish out, shake the tank, put the fish into the tank and bang the tank on the floor, all of which make it make noise and lights. It's so cute! It makes noise when it gets moved, or something gets dropped inside of it. It doesn't have to have the fish to work.The fish are also little rattles, which is entertaining, too! I'm so glad I bought it for him, he took to it right away!
