Although it seems quite simple, I've been pleasantly surprised at how much my youngest son and daughter enjoy playing with it (doesn't interest my 5 yr old). My kids will quietly pull it out and start exploring it, calling to me to with exclamations of delight as they discover its features ("Oh Mamma, look!"). I've found it's more of an independent play toy, rather than a sharing toy, and keeps their focused attention for quite a while. Good opportunity to learn the concept of sharing and patiently waiting for your turn. Lots of bells and buttons to push and they enjoy seeing the cupcake plump up and the mac'n'cheese flip over. Very cute, lots of laughs. Recommended for the pre-kindergarten kiddos.
